SCARS TALKS Programme

From September to April the Society organises a series of Talks for Members and Visitors in conjunction with the Merseyside & West Lancashire Branch of the Inland Waterways Association. Subjects covered include the Sankey itself (history and restoration), other restoration projects in the country, local history in our area, and general canal-related topics.

Our meetings take place at St. Patrick's RC Church Club, Marian Avenue, off Newton Common Road, Earlestown WA12 9JH (location map below), and are held jointly with the Merseyside and West Lancashire Branch of the Inland Waterways Association.

Meetings begin at 7.30pm. Entrance is free, and visitors are welcome
