Harry Arnold's  Historic Views of the Sankey Part 7:
Canalside Railways at Widnes

BR Standard Locomotive 78035 makes its way across the Sankey by means of the swing bridge in February 1962.

The junction of the line from Spike Island comes in from the left to meet the main Warrington - Garston line.

A loco emerges from behind the signal box at the Carter House Lane crossings, which served both the railway and the canal.
