At last! The Sankey is restored to water at Bewsey Lock

The storms of January 18th gave us an impression of what the restored Sankey would look like at Bewsey when wind, rain and tides combined to fill the channel of the Sankey Brook at Dallam to the level where it overflowed into the abandoned, and long dry, bed of the Sankey Canal.

Our thanks to the Warrington Ranger Service for the photographs, more of which appear on the back cover.
