IWPS Walk on the Sankey Canal

On Saturday 4th February, SCARS Committee member Andy Screen will be leading a walk of around 7 miles along the canal for the Inland Waterways Protection Society, and SCARS members are more than welcome to come along.

Provisionally, the walk will be from Hulme Lock through to Old Double Locks and thence to Carr Mill Dam; there is likely to be a meeting-up at Carr Mill or the Blackbrook Ranger Centre at around 10.15am from where half of the cars will be driven to West Quay Road at Dallam for the start of the walk.

If you are thinking of joining the walk please contact Andy on 01663 742198 to confirm the exact timings and locations.
