SANKEY BRIDGES

A wintry morning view of the relief swing bridge over the Sankey, with the concrete plinth bridge carrying the old Liverpool Road just visible beyond it. The proximity of the road made this a popular spot for local canal enthusiasts, making it one of the most photographed sections of the canal, especially when boats were about.
