Our World Heritage Site

Congratulations to Liverpool on gaining World Heritage status. But older than all of the structures celebrated in that award, and the key to the wealth that set the city going in the eighteenth century, were the canal and railway links which crossed here beneath the third arch - the Sankey Canal and the Liverpool-Manchester Railway. But what a sight this overgrown and graffiti-covered site is!
