Restoration Photographs

Above: The tidying of the site at Hulme Lock continued in February. The Lock’s name-plate is seen in its new position, and the Rangers’ van acts as the Work Party’s mess.

Above: At the end of February, the clear-up extended to the surrounds of the site., where undergrowth was cleared and burned.

Below: As they cleared the site, the group uncovered a section of a clay-lined brick culvert, which appears once to have taken drainage water under the canal into the Sankey Brook beyond.
