Our hopes that the SCARS website had a new trans-Atlantic Webmaster were a bit premature. The arrangements didn't work out as hoped. In the meantime, we had to change the Server which was hosting the site. This didn't go as smoothly as anticipated, or happen as quickly as it might. The result was that data (the most recent updates) was lost, and the site was difficult, and often impossible to access. I apologise for that - and hope that we can replace the lost data soon, and bring the site bang up to date.

The number of people who have emailed me to let me know they were having problems with the site shows the interest which the website generates, and acts as a stimulus to get it right as soon as possible.

Editor's Apology

Most of this Magazine was ready for publication two months ago, but unfortunately I had not foreseen how much time actually printing off the covers takes! Also I hadn't realised that printing so many coloured images would take up my so much of my computer's memory that I would not be able to use it for anything else while the printing was in progress. It has simply been too difficult to tie up my machine to the extent required over recent months - hence the delay. We'll try a more efficient way of printing colour next time! Because of the delay, some items may be a little out of date...

Anyway - we hope you like our new-look Newsletter, and would welcome contributions, and comments for future issues.
